June Gloom- June’s Halloween, Horror, and Haunt Events


With Halloween and Haunt season only a few months away, the excitement is already building. Here are some exciting events coming up this June to enjoy until Halloween gets here.


June 4th – Freak Show- Tuesday and Cyrus Present Freak Show, a dark comedic variety show. The show will feature sideshow acts by Joey DynOMite, characters by Brent Pella, magic by Bazoo The Kloun, comedy by Cyrus Naderpour, Julian Michael, Jake Adams, Adam Zoulek, Bridget Phetasy, and Kate Quigly, and music by Drac and the Swamp Rats.

Tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door only. The event is taking place at the California Institute of Abnormalarts- 11334 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601.


June 10th – Grand Opening of “Quoth the Craft: A Poe & Lovecraft Art Show”- Bearded Lady’s Mystic Museum presents their upcoming art show, “Quoth the Craft,”- An art show inspired by the works of Poe and Lovecraft.

The event stats at 8pm and goes to midnight. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door. The Bearded Lady’s Mystic Museum is located at 3204 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA, 91505.


June 18th– A Night at the Mansion- Wicked Lit is putting together an evening of all-star play readings, music, magic, and “Wicked” fun! Readings of A Ghost Story and The Yellow Wallpaper with very special guests! Magic and entertainment from Micah Cover and Charlie Mount. Musical performances by Bianca Gisselle, Amy Rieckelman, Jennifer Novak Chun, and Gwendolyn Edwards. Plus more!

A Night at the Mansion takes place Saturday June 18th, 6pm to 10pm, at Historical Monument 157, 3110 N Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90031. Tickets are $40 and can be bought at https://wickedlit.secure.force.com/ticket/#details_a0SU0000003slL4MAI .

ghclogoJune 10th and 11th – The Great Horror Campout- Returning again this year, the Great Horror Campout is a 12 hour, overnight, interactive horror camping adventure where the campers can choose their level of horror experience. Meaning that they can have a slightly scary experience, or they can have a full fledged horror experience. Please note that this is experience is for entertainment purposes only. No one will actually be hurt or killed.

The Great Horror Campout will be taking place at Elysian Park- 829 Academy Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Tickets range from $99 to $199 per person depending on the group and tent size. ALICEBURLESQUEJune 24th to June 26th and July 1st to July 3rd Paint the Roses Red– Let Zip Productions seduce you through the looking glass and immerses you in a wonderland of modern vaudeville. Their play-lesque tribute of Alice in Wonderland, is poised to tickle your fancy and titillate your senses. Lose yourself in a zoo of the deliciously absurd and the delightfully sexy!

Paint the Roses Red runs June 24th to June 26th and July 1st to July 3rd, Friday and Saturdays at 8pm and Sunday Matinees at 2pm. Tickets are $15 online and can be bought at www.archwayla.com, or $20 at the door. The Archway Studio/Theatre is located at 10509 Burbank Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91601.

aber1June 25th– Abracadaver Productions’ 6th Annual Open House and Halloween Market- Abracadaver Productions presents their 6th Annual Open House and Halloween Market where they will show off their new products, as well as the products from other vendors.

The event is on Saturday June 25th from 11am to 6pm and is FREE. The open house and Halloween Market will take place at Abracadaver Productions- 2021 W. Commonwealth Ave, Suite J, Fullerton, CA 92833. For more information, please visit www.abracadaver.com .


June 25thL’Enfer: An Infernal Discotheque– Drunken Devil presents L’Enfer: An Infernal Discotheque. The ticket for this event is all-inclusive, including: an open bar, photo opportunities, tarot card readings, burlesque, and magic performances at 9pm, and the post-show dance party. Tickets are $35 and can be bought at https://squareup.com/store/drunken-devil/ .

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Please bring a copy of your I.D. to show at the door. L’Enfer is located at Superchief Gallery LA. 737 Ceres Avenue, Los Angeles, 90021. Please note that this address is in the back area of the gallery, which is the entrance to the event. Guests are asked to dress to impress. 21+ only, no exceptions.
