April Fools

 Spring is here! That means everything is new and full of new blood and new screams!  It also means we are only about 6 months away from haunt season! To keep us busy until then, here are some of the exciting, horror filled events coming up in April! Let the April Fools begin!!!

bloodalleyApril 1st through April 9th– Blood Alley: Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group proudly births their all-new, evil red-haired step-child of URBAN DEATHBlood Alley…a seething horror-theatre spectacular in the great Grand Guignol, Theater of Cruelty and Buto traditions, centering around the memoirs of a forgotten street alley haunted by the unspeakable events of its past; a cursed place of no mercy, inhabited by a hundred-year accumulation of apparitions, phantasms and sub-breeds that desperately await their next victim! Directed by Zombie Joe. This show is for ages 14 and up!

horror-movie-nightApril 1st– Great Horror Movie Night: The Shining: The folks at The Great Horror Campout will be hosting a series of Horror Movie nights in Los Angeles at the Griffith Park Old Zoo over the next few months. The April screening will be The Shining on Friday April 1st, 2016 at 7:15pm. Tickets are $15.

days of the deadApril 1st through April 3rd -Days Of The Dead: The Days Of The Dead horror convention returns to the Burbank Area from April 1st to April 3rd, 2016. This will be three days of horror, horror movies, horror icons and fun. Tickets can be bought on their website at www.daysofthedead.net .

Days Of The Dead will be held at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel and Convention Center, 2500 N Hollywood Way, Burbank, California 91505.

vvApril 2nd– Villains & Vixens: Drunken Devil presents Villains & Vixens. Vaudeville meets voodoo in a one-night only variety show in Downtown Los Angeles. For one night only, Redline DTLA will be transformed into a voodoo wonderland as guests are treated to a menagerie of bawdy burlesque performances and mystifying magic acts! Villains & Vixens will feature local burlesque stars Scarlette Fox (LA Sirens) and Harley Harpurr (The Dollface Dames), performing a variety of seductive and sensual numbers that are sure to delight and dazzle. In addition, magicians Micah Cover (The Magic Castle) and Scott Michael (Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor) will bamboozle audiences with unbelievable feats of mysticism. Wet your whistle with libations from the bar, and let the evening of mischief take you away! Each general admission ticket includes two complimentary beverages, including beer, wine, and well cocktails. Liquor upgrades are available for purchase.

image1(1)April 8th, 9th, 22nd & 23rd- Sinister Pointe Presents “Séance”: After an almost 2 month delay, Sinister Pointe Productions presents “Séance” returns in April.  Medium Scott Michael will communicate with the other side, promising a haunting experience. “Séance” runs Friday and Saturday Nights, April 8th, 9th, 22nd & 23rd, with shows at 8pm, 10pm, and a dark witching hour show at 12am. Please be warned, the witching hour show is promising a more intense experience.  All performances will take place at the Official Sinister Pointe Attraction- 797 W. Imperial Highway, Brea, CA 92821. springfeverApril 13th– Serial Killer Speed Dating (Spring Fever Edition): Whether you’re looking for love or testing out your detective skills, this special Spring Fever edition of Serial Killer Speed Dating, hosted by Abel Horowitz, will be sure to provide killer evening of excitement. April 14th through April 28th– Demonic Housewives: Force of Nature Productions have announced their first project of the year- the world premiere of Thomas J. Misuraca’s new play, Demonic Housewives. Demonic Housewives focuses on the sleepy town of Hobsville and the dark secret hidden within. Directed by long-time Zombie Joe’s Underground director Sebastian Muñoz, Demonic Housewives features an All-Female cast.

Demonic Housewives runs Thursday and Sunday evenings, April 14th through May 1st. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursdays and 7pm Sundays. Tickets are $20 and can be bought at the door or at www.archwayla.com. The Archway Studio/Theatre is located at 10509 Burbank Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91601

monsterpaloozaApril 22nd through April 24th– Monsterpalooza: Celebrate the Art of Monsters and Movie Magic with MONSTERPALOOZA this April 22-24, 2016 as it STOMPS into its NEW LOCATION at The Pasadena Convention Center!

Monsterpalooza 2016 is being held at The Pasadena Convention Center: 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena, California 91101. Tickets can be purchased at www.monsterpalooza.com.

(1980) The Shining (The Twins) Screenshot 1 April 23rd– Creepshow Cabaret presents a burlesque tribute to The Shining. Creepshow Cabaret is returning to the CIA in North Hollywood for a burlesque tribute to the Kubrick classic: The Shining! The door opens at 8:30pm and the show starts at 9:00pm.

Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door. The event is taking place at the California Institute of Abnormalarts- 11334 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, California 91601

batsday-logo-2April 29th through May 1st– Bats Day Black Market and Day in the Park: Bats Day is the annual event at the Disneyland Resort. This year, there will be a three day event including a costumed Swinging Wake, Black Market, and Bats Day in Disneyland. The costumed Swinging Wake will be on Friday April 29th and the Black Market will be on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at 2pm. Bats Day in Disneyland will be Sunday, May 1st, 2016.

The costumed Swinging Wake and Black Market will be held at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort – Convention Center: 2085 South Harbor Blvd. Anaheim, California 92802. Bats Day will be held at the Disneyland Resort. More information, including tickets, can be found at www.batsday.net .

 April 29th through May 28th- Urban Death: Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group proudly presents their annual marquee event- Urban Death. Urban Death is a vignette show, featuring scenes of dark twisted horror, death, and nightmares. This show is unlike anything else and is not to be missed. Directed by Zombie Joe and Jana Wimer. This show is for ages 14 and up!

Urban Death runs Friday and Saturday Nights, April 29th through May 28th, 2016, at 11pm. Tickets are $15 and can be bought at the door or online at ZombieJoes.Tix.com . You can also call the official ZJU reservation hotline at (818) 202-4120. ZJU Theatre Group, 4850 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601. This event will sell out. It is highly recommended that you buy your tickets early and arrive at the theatre early to get a good seat!
