Hello everyone! Welcome to our review of Halloween Club’s 4th Annual Spook Show. All Hallows’ Haunts had a great time!
The free event was held outside the Halloween Club in La Mirada. The outdoor Halloween festival had 89 booths that featured a wide variety of Halloween and horror vendors, with products ranging from small hand crafted knick-knacks to full size coffins, and everything in between. There was also a stage set up that had various musical and performance acts, as well as food and drink trucks, and even a mobile escape room experience. The actual costume shop itself was open and promoting their annual 40% off sale.
Numerous guests were dressed up in full Halloween costumes, as well as some vendors dressed up to display their crafted masks, make up effects, and costumes. It was a treat seeing our fellow Halloween fanatics decked out in their ghoulishly awesome attire.
We spent about two hours going from booth to booth and checking out their products. We even walked away with a bunch of goodies for ourselves. One item we picked up was book of haunted places in East Los Angeles, that we will definitely be visiting and reporting on. We also scored some cool Ouija board jewelry.
There were a good number of hearses parked just outside the entrance. We weren’t sure if they were a part of the event itself, or just hearse enthusiasts that happened to be parked right up front. We did think they looked amazing, but didn’t feel comfortable looking at people’s cars without their owners around.
One of the favorite music acts was The Jimmy Psycho Experiment, a one man cover band playing classic horror theme songs. We were serenaded by the Halloween theme song as we approached the entrance. We wanted to see all of the acts, but we left before we had the opportunity.
We were so glad we were able to experience this fantastic event. Even the threat of rain couldn’t keep big smiles off of our faces. We had a wonderful time, and can’t wait for the 5th Annual Spook Show next year!
